From June 12 to 24, 2016, the USAID WA-WASH Program will conduct a monitoring visit of its Phase I activities in the Upper West region of Ghana. This monitoring will be carried out in 20 villages of Lawra and Nandom districts. During this field visit, USAID WA-WASH plans to visit 189 latrines, 183 handwashing stations, 12 farms and conduct water samples analysis for 28 water points in the both districts.
The mission team will also meet with the local communities, municipal authorities, pump manufacturers, farmer’s organizations and water users associations.
The water samples analysis will be done with the collaboration of the regional Environment Protection Agency (EPA) based in Wa.
